With the events in Charleston over the last week, the Confederate Flag sale and other related events are making news almost every day. This is a good thing because it means people are paying attention to what is going on with the South Carolina’s flag, which at times has had controversial meanings. The group that runs the sale, called the Charleston Flag Sales, made the decision to host this special sale after the Charleston shooting, which left nine individuals dead.Find additional information check this out.
The sale is set to take place from Tuesday through Thursday, and tickets are being sold for a very minimal cost. The group says that they are only selling items commemorating the Civil War. However, some have speculated that this could be a way for Roof to hide some of his Confederate symbols from the outside world. For that reason, if you are planning on attending, make sure you know where you will be sitting. Some seats are located too close to the rear of the stage, where Roof can be watching events from.
For those of you who cannot attend in person, there will be a lot of information available online. Charleston has a website that includes an interactive map of the location as well as a list of the products that will be for sale. Those who attend the sale can also use the interactive map to see photos of past events. In addition, a live Q&A with Roof and other Confederate-aligned groups is scheduled for later in the month.
